Purple Hands Wines is a family-owned premium boutique Barossa wine company owned and operated by Craig Stansborough and Mark Slade. Craig and Mark have been mates for over 25 years and have a long association with the Barossa. After Craig planted a vineyard in the southern Barossa in 2000 with the intension to develop our own label, we started this journey in 2006, and named it Purple Hands Wines, a play on the fact a red wine makers hands become stained purple during vintage due to the constant contact with grape skins and the juice. Our aim is to produce fruit driven wines of elegance and texture, showcasing not only the Barossa but each little patch of dirt where we source grapes from. Purple Hands Wines is a strong supporter and advocate of sustainable vineyard management, and have been managing their southern vineyard with organic practices since 2017. We believe in importance of soil health and making a minimal impact on the environment.
