Tiger Ranch was established in 1975 when my grandfather, Tom, visited the site of our new farm at Narrawa Road, at Wilmot on the North West Coast of Tasmania. He was beguiled by stories of early farming pioneers recounting stories of catching Tasmanian Tigers in and around the area. Although believed extinct from the region, some of the stories so amused Tom that the family dairy farm was nicknamed Tiger Ranch, and since then all farming pursuits have been under the Tiger Ranch Agriculture banner and also including Awarran Park.
