Merilba Estate is situated at Kingstown 30km west of the quaint township of Uralla in the New England region of NSW Australia. Here premium quality wine is crafted from our cool climate vineyard, producing fine wines including Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo and Gewurtztraminer.
It is thought that the name "Topper's Mountain" came from brothers E & W Topper who were employees of George Wyndham in the 1850s. At this time George owned "New Valley Station" which included the present day "Topper's Mountain".
"Topper's Mountain" is owned by Mark & Stephanie Kirkby & their daughters.
The vineyard is a total of 10Ha of which 1.1Ha was planted in spring 2000 & the balance planted in spring 2002.
