Poised and harmonious, flavoursome, driven by pristine fruit, this is a graceful mouthful of cabernet. Gently grippy tannins create a dense latticework on the palate. Densely woven, chalky tannins, softened but still assertive, a bit of coal dust character. Very good density and concentration, full of black pepper, spicy and meaty flavours. Very tight, needing time to breathe and open up, the nose is savoury, lots of leather complexities and touches of spicy acidity too. Integrated tannins show its age, there is depth and breadth on the palate. A well made wine. Not particularly detailed, but beautiful drinking nevertheless.
