95 points - Saline, savoury aromas, spicy, tomato leaf aromas, intense, mocha. Concentrated, focused, powerful and compact. There is a thread of nervy energy, plummy and sanguine, flowing through the palate. Mocha, dark chocolate bitterness a sign of time and bottle age.

94 points - Dark red some purple left. Cherry and schnapps liqueur on the nose. Beautifully melded together at this stage, with primary fruit ceding but still present. Savoury leathery dried herb flavours with fine creamy tannins. Plums with spices.

95 points - Deep purple red. Classical shiraz driven aromas, plummy, tarry, walnut, cloves and other woody spices. Compact, almost syrupy in style, certainly ripe and extracted, licks of stalky, stemmy phenolics. Nutty, needs a while to really open up.

93 points - Dark red some purple. Walnut and dark blackberry nose. Creamy texture, some density there. Hints of graphite, mineral tones: tar, iron. Medium to long finish. There is a green dry vegetal element which holds it back a bit. Some mint. Not overly complex but well put together. Drinks fine now with airing and steak, but really this should be drunk from 2028.

95 points - Dark red. Some menthol, tar. Minerals. Ageing beautifully. In a bit of a lull at present or needing air. It’s served out of enomatic machine, so no oxygen access. Superb.

96 points - Energy, length and elegance abound in this wine. A touch of lively sweetness balanced by tight citric intensity. This is one of the best rieslings I have tasted in ages and at 13 years of age is showing no signs of tiredness. Certainly has many more years left in it.
