<p><b>92 points</b> - Very closed and tannic at first, with virtually no fruit. Needed an hour or so. Unorthodoxically we decided to have it poured it into a decanter. Lead pencil. Violets notes all over. Well matured, with finely knit tannin integration. Medium finish. <p><b>93 points</b> - Nose is quite fragrant, faint red fruit, graphite, earth and mushrooms. Palate originally very tight but opened up after a while. Good intensity. Warm and generous. Enough power to cut through some very rich food (eg ravioli of duck confit with seared duck liver foie gras. Very fine tannins. Touch acidic.
