90 points - Very dark, though with a brownish tinge. Initial nose showed some age, in the mouth this was also evident, as well as thick currants and berries. Still a very long finish there, lots of tannins and acid, and over the evening this all seemed to knit together a little better. But in the end this is a little too aged to really do it for me. A couple years ago though…!

(Later.) This is a bit of a wine of two halves. After about four hours open, the aged character seemed to disappear, leaving a nicely integrated, earthy Pinot. A small revelation.

Tasted on Sat, Feb 5, 2011.
