There is ripe, blue fruit intensity here, paired with a velvet glove. Ripe tannins, deft work and balance with the stalky phenolics. Nicely textured on the palate, this has body and richness and flesh from the skin contact phenolics, but also some softness and fluency too. Flavoursome, lees stirring hints, slightly caramelly.
