Interesting nose, hints of popcorn, flinty. Palate is very penetrating, rapier like, showing loads of intensity and acidity. There’s a roast hazelnut, floral fragrance component too, quite attractive. A confronting wine, palate coverage penetrating to all corners, powerful and tight, structural. Ageworthy. Lingering grapefruit bitterness on the lengthy finish. Too much for me personally, but a very good wine nevertheless.

Tasted on Fri, Apr 5, 2019.

Beautiful flow throughout the palate, there’s a fragrant vanilla cedar/oak, a very attractive sweetly spiced note that pervades. A penetrating modern style of cabernet.
