89 points - This wine has high points from the critics: 95 from Wine Front; 96 from Halliday and 98 from Huon. Sometimes I just have to wonder why my tastes can be so at odds from the experts. I found this wine to be pleasant, but bland and lacking in flavour and intensity. If I was marking it out of 10 it would get 7. Shouldn't that translate to 70 on a 100 point scale?? Anyway, I will give this 89, which is more than my wife gave it. Simply nowhere near worth the asking price.

96 points - Full yellow. Beautifully intense aged aromas, full of nuanced lees and oak work, involving. Great flavour and concentration, focus and presence. Lasts a long time in the mouth. Gorgeous wine!

96 points - Full yellow. Complex nutty nose, touches of dairy and lees character. Beautiful poise, detail and finesse on the palate. Seamless, rounded and polished tannins, flavour runs throughout evenhandedly, intense but harmonious. Hazelnut notes abound. Refinement in the finish too, acidity finely grained.

96 points - Full yellow. Expressive, aged bouquet full of nuts, smoky woods and spices. Poised and balanced in the mouth, this Chardonnay is flavoursome and detailed, the acidity refined and integrated, enlivening the palate. Clean finishing and persistent. A perfect age for this Chardonnay.

95 points - Full, electric yellow, evidence of age. A bit too shy and restrained when cold. Once warmed up, the aromas are complex, smoky, sulfide-y, chicken stocky, cold butter. Clean, refined, yet very powerful, the palate focused and bracing. Very good.

95 points - Light yellow. Buttery peach nose, some nougat. Perfectly matured. Palate has mineral iron streak, perhaps a tad on the hard side. Actually on second thought the mineral streak are grapefruit tones. Good length. Perfect either way chicken chasseur. At peak, drink now.
