95 points - Deep dark inky red. Very sooty, chimney like on the nose, savoury and aged. Balanced and seamless in the mouth, there is quite some refinement here, tannins melting and chocolaty. Again quite savoury, a lingering bitterness and grip remains after swallowing. A beautiful, powerful and aged/integrated wine with tonight’s smoky char-grilled t-bone.

93 points - Pale greenish gold. Chalky, crushed stone, dried herb aromas. Middle aged palate, some development apparent through the mellow ripe fruit flavour. good energy, chalk character with some fuzzy phenolics. Interesting juxtaposition of ripe grapey fruit flavour with the minerality.

93 points - Pale green. Lovely lime blossom nose, rose petals. Floral. Apple chalk on the palate, almost like a Loire chenin. With a tiny hint of residual sweetness. Apple - chalk - lime minerality is the flavour triangle in play here. Perfect match with Japanese food. Versatile accompanist, particularly with sushi.

94 points - Dark inky purple red. Nose is full of spice, cloves, woodsy. Palate is grippy, full on, tannic. Nicely ripe, plummy flavours, balanced with the tannic structure. Definitely a food wine. Structural, firm, big! Needs a Wagyu steak, slow braised beef stew or hard cheese. Perhaps hard to match food wise.

94 points - Medium dark purple red. Cloudy turbidity. Dark plum nose. On the palate the wine is very smooth, perfect fruit expression with a dense core and long finish. Almost a bit chocolaty in texture, without any cloying.

It’s a complete and harmonious wine, with power and poise. Not all that detailed at the moment but look forward to tasting this in later years. Ageworthy. A bargain!

95 points - Dark red. Savoury iron rust style. Pepper nose. Grampians. Dense, dark and thoroughly interesting palate structure. It’s built around a core of dark cherry, plum fruit, with the various spices and blood/iron aromatics surrounding it. Built to last.

95 points - Deep purple red. Savoury nose, full of sooty, coal, ironstone aromas, some deep set black fruit. Beautiful, supple and succulent palate, fleshy, rich and dense. There’s a great compactness, needs time to unfurl. Impressive fruit weight and creamy texture. Black pepper and spices on the palate.
