88 points - Another Ruggabellus disappointment after the recent fluus. Was the 2009 Efferus a flash in the pan? Way too much VA in this. Didn't really blow off enough with time. Maybe a bad bottle. Excellent bones underneath but it didn't let me enjoy it.

94 points - Bit of blackcurrant, bit of stalk, bit of funk, bit of everything. Doesn't want for complexity. Nice mouthfeel and a good slick of tannin. One for the wine nerds. Upped by a point on the second night. Quietly insistent.

88 points - Sweet tarry, black pepper, black fruit on the nose. Palate is juicy, full and fruit driven. Fine tannins, oak treatment seems sensitively done. Acidity is well in balance and if anything, complexity isn't there. Definitely a new world style.
