Chalky acidic finish. Wow. Unusual yet superbly enjoyable. Later: as it warms up nutty, slight barrel tones come to the foreground. There’s some glycerol character on the palate, quite syrupy, almost high alcohol, with a phenolic, almond meal like bitterness in the finish. Marzipane.
