<p><b>95 points</b> - Inky bright dark purple red. Fragrant, dense and elegant nose, deep dark earthy, plummy, peppery aromas. Plush on the palate with excellent amplitude and fluffy tannins. Rich, big yet with very good acidity and spritely structure. Deep set blue and black fruit flavours, leaves the mouth tingling. Excellent and brooding. Built for the long haul. <p><b>93 points</b> - Medium dark purple. Dark briar aromas. Palate also shows dark blackberry notes. Perfect fruit ripeness and good acid structure: not overbearing. The wine falls away a bit mid palate, with felty tannins cutting in leaving a bit of a flat structure. Otherwise it would be a gold for me.
