Medium to full bodied, firm structure, tannins are not quite resolved, phenolics lingering, is there too much stalkiness here? Some greenness. <p><b>96 points</b> - Deep dark purple, almost black. Intense aromas of prunes, dates, black cherries, oak and liquorice, almost like a fortified wine. Big, thick, full bodied, chewy. Even now it still needs an hour in a decanter to really develop. Palate of dark chocolate, prunes, dark fruit, some oak and just about anything else you could imagine. Great complexity.
