Medium to full bodied, firm structure, tannins are not quite resolved, phenolics lingering, is there too much stalkiness here? Some greenness. Blue fruits, plums, spice and hints of dark chocolate on the palate. The years have been kind to this wonderful wine, which is still in its prime.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Tasted on Mon, Feb 4, 2019.&lt;/p&gt;</summary>

Big, thick, full bodied, chewy. Even now it still needs an hour in a decanter to really develop. Palate of dark chocolate, prunes, dark fruit, some oak and just about anything else you could imagine.
