Strong acidity but creamy palate. Needs something to counter the acidity.

92 points - Medium dark purple. Beautiful nose of cassis. Classic flavours at work here, bordering on blackberry with ample fruit ripeness. Medium to full balance. Drinking very well now. Fruit forward style. Huon says it reeks of American oak. But after it’s been open for a while it tastes quite balanced to me. Maybe all it needs is a bit more time.

Tasted on Fri, Aug 30, 2019.
