93 points - Pale green yellow. Superb acid balance with mealy and floral notes. Very “Pfalz”! Forster Ungeheuer? Great structure on the palate with fine tingling acid line, even a bit of spices. Wow. One of the most interesting Aussie rieslings I have had recently. Germanic through and through.

NB: turns out the winemaker studied in Germany in Forst. No wonder it tastes so Pfalz-esque!

Tasted on Wed, Aug 18, 2021.

Medium to full bodied palate, juicy and ripe, deliciously flavoured and lipsmacking. Has a little of those cola like notes, treacle. Some char. Good balance on the palate, clearly has powerful acidity but it is well balanced with the flesh and oak. Muscular and lithe. Seamless, very long and coating. Curious how this will evolve as it is quite approachable even now.

Tasted on Wed, Aug 5, 2015.

Superb balance with a layer of spices on the palate: dried herbs, clove - but not just the flavour of clove, but its tannins. There is elegance here.
