92 points - Deep red purple. Cherry ripe aromas, hints of clove. Good depth and concentration on the palate, richness, with good stalky phenolics keeping the shape trim. Lingering.

89 points - Cloudy yellow. Woody, lees aromas. Initial impression of apple juice on the attack, but pleasantly made. Crisp and dry with good depth of flavour and acidity. Hint of drying tannin there.

90 points - Appearance- Opaque, dark-purple to inky black, good legs. Nose- Pronounced fruit & a little spice. Palate- Full bodied, silky, medium sweetness with good acidity, low tannins. Flavours of red cherries, chocolate, leather & tobacco (?). Medium to long length. Conclusion- Big silky wine! Hard to match to food but definitely something that could stand up on its own as a drinking wine.
