89 points - Medium red. Savoury nose, good earthy aromas, graphite and spice; nice nose. Very savoury palate, linear with a very long line, perhaps a touch lean: could be a bit fleshier. Stalky tannins tend to assert but there's some red fruit character there. A touch of green puckering bitterness in the finish. I guess it's very good for a German pinot! Good with food. Tasted with roast lamb shoulder.

Tasted on Sun, Aug 17, 2014.
