Expressive, impressive aromas, full of that mellow candle wax and lemony character that comes from bottle age, multilayered citrus and exotic floral spice. Tense, integrated, appetisingly grippy, some talc like notes in the finish. Perfection with the South East Asian food tonight!

96 points - Yellow lemon colour. Complex nose of lemon, lemon rind and lime notes. Soapy herbal aromas. Superb viscous texture. Perfectly integrated now. There is even a hint of those dried herbs you find in top German Riesling. Wonderful Aussie rendition. 95 points - Electric yellow. Lanolin nose, a bit petroleum. Palate is a bit mealy, intense. Bitter lime. Powerful, weighty style, a bit like a powerful GG. Underneath the lanolin-lime there is a hint of fine crushed rock minerality and yellow stonefruit / Mirabelle. Superbly balanced. Midlife stage if you like aged old Riesling. Otherwise drink now. 40min Later, warmer: far improved, more balanced and long. More Mirabelle, less lime.
