92 points - Bright gold. Restrained and discreet nose, hints of struck match, nuances of lees and dairy like tones. Soft and pillowy on the palate, a fair whack of flavour, oak structure. Barrel derived tannins need time to integrate. Grapefruit tones, particularly on the finish.

Tasted on Sun, Oct 3, 2021.

92 points - Pale grey. Nougat nose, ripe peach. Palate shows ample oak influence: cinnamon. Some citrus notes, although the nougat is the main game here. Needs some time to integrate a bit more. A big, unashamedly fully flavoured Chardonnay. Finishes on oak flavours, with a slight astringency. Excellent wine, just a baby now. Give it another 2-3 years to shine at its best and integrate the oak.

Tasted on Sun, Oct 3, 2021.
