94 points - Toasty, moreish and delicious. New Zealand's premier riesling producer focuses mostly on sweet wines, but is to be commended for cellaring its bone dry rieslings for 10 years before releasing them at peak maturity for a great value price. This is one of the great well-kept secrets of the wine world. It can be hard to find properly dry rieslings from New Zealand, but this is a cracker.

Tasted on Wed, Mar 7, 2018.

Clearly an aged and developed nose. Age and development is also prominent on the palate, the fruit taking very much a back seat. Acidity shows too. Very full and muscular mouthfeel. Toned and substantial. Finish shows similar muscularity. Hints of lemon citrus. Impressive wine. Ageing nicely.

Tasted on Fri, Apr 13, 2012.
