<p><b>94 points</b> - Lovely nose: broad dark fruits. Palate also dark, elegant spices with good bitterness and acidity, all I'm harmony. Needs a bit more time for tannins to come into balance. <p><b>93 points</b> - Med dark red. Nose faint savoury capsicum at first with soft vanillic berries coming though. Palate is velvet textured with a nice weight and intensity. Elegant, spiced and mouthfilling with savoury bramble leading into a dark chocolate and brambly intense and very long finish, featuring a very attractive bitterness at the end.</p><p>Tasted on Wed, Feb 24, 2010.</p>

<p><b>92 points</b> - Relatively light colour. Lipstick nose reminiscent of the French Syrah mold. Beautiful tobacco oak notes with strong palate intensity. Long finish of cedar and hints of dark fruits, without in-your-face fruitiness plaguing so many overbearing Aussie Shirazes. Undercurrent of strawberries emerging as the wine opens up in the glass. There is a savoury bitterness that gives this wine a special appeal. A formidable wine showing fantastic winemaking skills of Tim Kirk.</p><p>Tasted on Wed, Feb 24, 2010.</p>
