93 points - Quite a muted yet light coppery yellow colour, unfiltered? Definitely looks skin contact or “natural”. Interesting barrel and lees complexities on the nose, hints of reduction and asparagus notes too. Nicely textured palate, the lees and skin contact providing interest in both flavour and mouthfeel. Some nice grippy dried stalky phenolics too. Artful winemaking! Rich and persistent.

Tasted on Sun, Jan 13, 2019.

90 points - Grassy palate, which is rounded out with judicious oak treatment. There are elements of green asparagus here. Clever wine. Part barrel, part skin fermented plus malo. Ends up on green, slightly vegetal notes.

Tasted on Sun, Jan 13, 2019.
