95 points - Deep dark bright red. Exuberant fruit, ripe red fruit, jam tones on the nose. Rich and dense on the palate, peppery, statuesque with great ripe juicy fruit. Cloves and spice, very long. Needs time!

Tasted on Sat, Jan 4, 2020.

95 points - Dense, unfiltered, very dark purple red. Rich aromas of plum, blackberry conserve, char, spices, mint, dense and heady. Rich, fruit sweet, bold, spiced and verging on syrupy, but held in check with a good lick of acidity. Lots of depth and persistence, muscular, grippy tannins. A good wine, if not totally my style, being quite ripe and fruit driven. Built to age, a thoroughly Barossan shiraz. Second day, with a clearer frame of mind (minus yesterday’s aggressively spiced stack of pork ribs), I’ve raised my score. This is a good wine, even if it needs time (and lots of it).

Tasted on Wed, Apr 25, 2018.

93 points - Dark, cloudy red. Tar and Blueberry nose. Palate starting on fruity blueberry and briar, carrying on with spices: rosemary. Lovely wine, not at all overoaked or tannic, but yummy clean fruit with complex and fine tannins. Will probably age for quite some time.

Tasted on Wed, Apr 25, 2018.
