<p><b>96 points</b> - From a cool, windswept but sunny vineyard site in the Huon valley in far southern Tasmania, this is a deep, dark & brooding pinot not unlike Central Otago pinot. 5 years have mellowed it into a wonderful earthy and silken wine. Aromas of glaced cherries & candy, palate is fresh & vibrant with complex notes of sour cherry, raspberries, cinamon spice and rhubarb with a distinct earthy mineral feel & long satiny tannins on the finish. Outstanding wine. (got this bottle at the cellar door in 2008).</p><p>Tasted on Wed, Jul 27, 2011.</p>
