91 points - Deep glass staining purple red. Bold aromas, lashings of ripe cassis, oak and leaf complexities, a little lift of spirity heat, though nothing too detracting. Blockbuster style on the palate, tremendous grip and tannin structure, slightly hard. Built up with loads of oak. Hints of spice and black pepper. Long with a peacocks tail finish. Trace of bitterness in the finish. Could turn into a lovely Aussie blockbuster style of Shiraz given enough age. Needs at least five to ten years.

Tasted on Sun, Oct 2, 2016.

91 points - Dark brooding colour. Nose very oaky with strong cedar wood notes. Blackberry is somewhere in the background hum. Palate is lush, almost thick with touch of alcohol heat on the finish. Not particularly elegant or detailed at this early stage, but could become more interesting with age. Lovers of classic heavy Aussie Shiraz will love this stuff. Needs another 5-10 years. Lay it down.

Tasted on Sun, Oct 2, 2016.
