95 points - Dark red, nice development showing on the edges. All white pepper and spices on the nose. Lovely cloves and other dried spices. Fully developed and integrated, with cherry and plum fruit still showing. Peak, but probably has another decade to run.

95 points - Medium dark red. The age is showing in the bouquet, full of mellow spices, iron bucket. Gorgeous texturally on the palate, this is at its peak, a mouthful of flavour, roasting pan/meaty notes, blackberry and dark bitter chocolate and chimney soot too. Seamless, silky and persistent.

95 points - Fragrant dried rose, potpourri style notes, spicy and complex with red and blue fruit notes. Medium to full bodied, nicely woven tannins, gently grippy. Tarry, bitumen, clove, charry characters. A beautiful and moreish wine. Juicy. Dangerous, I could drink a bucketload of this.

95 points - Dark medium red, still some purple in there hut definitely developed. Nose full of spices: cloves, nutmeg. Some mysterious cherry cola flavours. Fine acidity and fine tannins. There is tar in play here as well. Oustanding wine, well matured now. Elegant.

95 points - Medium red, with some purple in the middle and brown at the edges. Cedar nose. Lovely medium bodied lightness on the palate, owing to the acidity. Fine tannins and cedar tones run through the palate. Fine spices: pepper, clove. Cherry. Undertone of black tar. Has come a long way.

95 points - Medium dark purple red with a touch of brick. Very attractive nose, florals, plummy, fragrant oak notes, cigar box. Reminds me of an elegant Bordeaux style, a merlot. Medium bodied, good drive and flavour and fruit sweetness, plummy with nicely integrated tannins. Very nicely balanced with elegance. Excellent with the roasted Cantonese bbq meats tonight.

93 points - Deep bright purple red. Restrained nose of plummy, charry, dried herbal notes, potpourri. Rich, voluptuous on the palate, juicy and very youthful, good ripe fruit, fine grained tannins, a blanket of earthy tones. The only detraction is that it could have a little more complexity on the palate. It is beautifully balanced, decent structure, a “complete” wine.

92 points - Medium dark red purple. Aromas of red fruit and intense florals, rose and spice. Medium bodied, elegance, chaffy tannins, fairly soft and discreet style. Very pleasant. Tar and somewhat sangiovese like.
