89 points - Light gold colour, starting to deepen with age. Good quaffer, with some growing complexity. Lychee overtones, but slightly hollow in mid-palate. But for the price this is excellent value. Could improve for up to another 5 years. It puzzles me that Australia cannot match South Africa for the quality of its Chenin Blanc. McLaren Vale should be a natural terroir for the variety. This is good, but does not come close to the best that South Africa offers.
