95 points - Medium dark unfiltered red. Rich, loamy earthy nose, developed, spiced and savoury, mushroomy, some deeply set black fruit. Rich, complex and dense palate, nicely integrated, delicious and savoury with a touch of heat in the back, some leather, mushroomy, charry, oak driven, chocolate characters. Plush, creamy and velvety in the mouth with a lick of fruit sweetness. Tannins finely textured, powdery, soft.

There is a sweet core telling of full ripeness and a warm region. Good acidity. Quintessentially Central Otago Pinot. Drinking well now.
