<p><b>93 points</b> - Very austere acidic palate. Smells and tastes a little like used-cigarette infused water. Faint fruit. Very fine chewy tannins, spice wood. Staid, demanding and so very dry. Bitterness pervades. Acidity improved with time but probably due to sensory habituation. Initially I spat this out due to the high acid and tannin lean. I wonder if it's simply off? Thus the non rating. 2nd day: Such a difference! Much improved actually drinkable now and it shows quite a nice nose of mint and burnt sandalwood and a core of savoury sweet forest fruit perfume. Palate is still tight and austere but exhibiting beautiful restrained sandalwood aromas and elegance. I was so wrong with my first impressions! Wine worthy of aging? Long intense finish and finely integrated smokey tannins. Maybe it's the Skittles I devoured the hours before tasting last night that exacerbated the acidity and tannins hehe.</p><p>Tasted on Sun, Dec 12, 2010.</p>
