95 points - Barnyard nose with thyme and clove. Unfiltered, slightly cloudy appearance. Palate has velvety, Chocolaty tannins. Lovely salty/savoury core. Thyme. Tasteful amount of spices: Clove, nutmeg type. Very nice style, not a Barossa fruit bomb at all. Needs time.

Tasted on Sat, Sep 27, 2014.

94 points - Dark purple red. Elegant nose at a very nice ripeness, complex and nuanced, with a whiff of sulfur. Some very smart oak treatment going on in the palate. Full bodied, with a sense of restraint and elegance, big without being overbearing, evenly knit tannins, good structure and acid balance. Gives the impression that this will age well. Leather, sweet red fruit at an ideal ripeness. Very good. A bit shutdown especially in the finish, tight and closed with a touch of coconut.

Tasted on Sat, Sep 27, 2014.
