90 points - Pale yellow. A bit of lychee with a mineral edge on the nose. Palate is soapy with quite some phenolics. Tasted with Indian biryani the aromatics don’t quite hold up: the structure and the phenolics dominate. One wishes for more intense varietal aromatics covering the palate length. And a touch of more residual sweetness? After all, I wouldn’t choose this variety for structure. A decent gewürztraminer. Drink soon.

Tasted on Sun, Aug 15, 2021.

90 points - Pale gold. Delicate nose, hints of floral and lychee. Richly textured palate, quite phenolic and full flavoured, though lacking some detail. Finishing with a somewhat phenolic bitterness. Lacking the chutzpah and aromatic power to compete properly with the delicious Josh Niland Murray Cod biryani tonight. Indian food is always a challenger.

Tasted on Sun, Aug 15, 2021.
