95 points - Aromas of vanillin oak, chocolate and even hints of leather. After some time in the glass even Christmas cake, spicy sweetness and liquorice come through. Full body and by now very smooth tannins. Black fruit and bitter dark chocolate dominate the palate. Very impressive wine.

Tasted on Fri, Aug 18, 2017.

Well on its way to being a monster. Cellar it another couple of years. Good things come to those who wait...

Tasted on Sat, Jun 10, 2017.

Crawls down the side of the glass like olive oil. Super smooth after some time in a decanter. Dark chocolate dominates the palate but there's back fruit in there too. Still a baby but will grow into a monster!

Tasted on Fri, Jun 5, 2015.

91 points - Dark, brooding nose with forest floor aroma. Full of flavor, with a big amount of oak hitting you. Tannins still scratchy and gripping, but in a nice and enjoyable way. Brute force approach rather than refined elegance. A tad heaty but overall enjoyable.
After a while in the glass it softens. The tannins integrate; on the palate one gets yummy dark berry juice, with natural fruit sweetness. A fruit bomb. I don't mind it! It also gained length, with the tannins and the acidity coming together on the way down.

Tasted on Wed, Aug 31, 2011.
