95 points - Dark purple red. Chocolate nose. Quite complex: herbs, Campari. Fine leathery tannins. All of this against a backdrop of blueberries. Superb. Later, after 45min in decanter: wine has fully opened up. Silken texture. Wow. Enjoy with steak.

94 points - Deep unfiltered purple red with a brick fringe. Aromas are beautifully savoury, bitumen and tar, char and spice, leather, meaty, even somewhat minty. Palate is beautifully seamless and finely textured with good density, leather notes. Silky and creamy, also a touch furry, not wanting for anything. Tannins are well integrated. Very good! Perfection with the Spanish takeaway tonight!

90 points - Dark medium red. At first the wine shows plenty of oak and cedar on the nose. Cherry flavours on the palate. Quite juicy but with quite some fine tannins providing structure. Medium bodied.

92 points - Deep inky red with a touch of brick on the fringe. Slightly feral aromas, sweaty saddle, plum, sour cherry notes, vanilla and clove. Medium bodied, focussed, quite savoury, there’s a nice umami, iron filings character on the palate. Good drive and supple shape. Drying, slightly rustic tannin. A smart, modern tempranillo.
