97 points - Medium light yellow. Nose is unmistakably Riesling with intriguing mix of pineapple, floral blossoms and hints of lemon. On the palate we get a perfect balance of fresh acidity, a tad of bitterness, minerality and floral / tropical fruit tones. There is a hint of mealiness, which in Australia or with too much age can become the dominant characteristic in a Riesling. But not here. After 13 years the fruit aromas and mealiness are perfectly integrated. Zinging along in perfect harmony. One of the best Rieslings I have had in years. Drinking perfectly now.

Tasted on Sat, Oct 19, 2024.

Aromatic, Germanic dried florals and herb notes on the nose, complex, aged, straw tinges and toast too. Beautifully balanced in the mouth, this is seamless, long, with great presence and amplitude, particularly in the peacock’s tail finish. Measured grip provides the architecture outlining the power and fruit expression; a flavoursome and perfectly aged riesling.

Tasted on Sat, Oct 19, 2024.
