92 points - Medium dark purple, could be a medium Shiraz by the colour. Slightly cloudy, looks unfiltered. Slight alcohol heat on the nose. Graphite and cherry. Whole bunches. Quite phenolic. Not overly generous in terms of fruit sweetness. Underwood aromas in play also. Slightly heaty finish. Charred tannins.

92 points - Dark red garnet, purple. Slightly lifted, spicy aromatic nose, dried floral and cherry notes, some complexing leather, even malo hints. Medium to full bodied, there’s richness here and powerful fruit. Surprising amount of structure, phenolic grip and palate presence. Some oak tones detectable, charcuterie, good length. Needs time to build more character but what a wine. Very unique in style. Quite unlike pinot noirs from Australia.

Muscular palate, perhaps a touch firm, extremely savoury again, loads of coffee bean, mocha characteristics, coffee cream. Surprisingly full bodied. Umami, meatiness, savoury stalk notes, some leanness, especially evident in the finish.
