94 points - Fresh Minty stalky aroma at first. After an hour the aroma opened up into a beautiful mix of cherry and leaves. Sweet and sour theme with masterful balance. Yummy but not very elegant. Straight forward joy. Great length and finish. Not much complexity. Juicy. An amazingly happy wine, young berries all over. Improved significantly after a while in the glass, making the tannins more grippy and interesting. Tobacco and berry. Wonderful wine. Lurton knows his stuff.

Tasted on Fri, Mar 27, 2009.

94 points - Cherry red. A perfumed nose of a herbal spice light-coloured wood/stalk. Very flavourful, slight dip in mid palate. Delicious tobacco/cigar box , leather flavours. A good balance of sweetness and acidity. Started off with lots of juicy brash lipsmacking fruit, but after an hour, settled into fine tannic elegance. Nice long tobacco leaf finish. Good stuff!

Tasted on Fri, Mar 27, 2009.
