<p><b>92 points</b> - Dark medium purple red. Nose shows spice aromatics, red fruit. Palate loaded with good tannins, adding bitterness to the spices and spiciness. Nicely developed and rounded out. There is also a graphite mineral tone. Finishes on the bitter tannins. Not sure how much longer this will keep. Later: more fruit emerges, dark blackberries. the wine still finishes on the bitter mineral tones but not in a bad way at all: more like very dark chocolate. Much improved. <p><b>94 points</b> - Deep purple red. Coal dust, leather and savoury bouquet, some touches of plum. Full bodied, full throttle in terms of flavour and flesh, yet there is enough framing acidity and tannin to enliven the palate and keep it from going into the over the top zone.
