92 points - Medium dark purple red. Open knit floral aromas, touches of spice, pretty. Soft velvetty tannins that only make their presence felt in the firm finish, the fruit is peppery, palate medium bodied, lightened by the acidity. A pretty wine with stature, almost paradoxical.

Tasted on Mon, Mar 11, 2024.

92 points - Dark medium purple. Lifted mix of blueberries and blackberries on the nose. Palate shows again lifted, ie light acid supported blue fruit tones melded beautifully with fine tannins. A medium bodied wine. Great for grilled duck, game, venison. Wine is in its early stage, will develop over 5-10 years.

Tasted on Mon, Mar 11, 2024.

90 points - Reddish rose coloured rose. Pear and strawberry nose. Nice complexity and structure on the palate. Creamy, viscous with some phenolic grip. Interesting also with food. Nice summer drink.

Tasted on Sat, Mar 9, 2024.

88 points - A deep pink hue, like Tavel rosé. Aromas are worked and lees driven, savoury, barrel derived characters. The chalky texture and phenolic structure are at the heart of this wine. The palate nutty, savoury, drying and in need of food. Unusual but intentionally stylistic.

Tasted on Sat, Mar 9, 2024.

92 points - Dark brooding purple, with hints of old brick red starting to emerge at the edges. Exuberant perfume emerges from the glass: dark berries, mulberries, leafy tones in the background. Chocolatey palate with a little heat and numbing spices. Full on blockbuster style. Could dial in a bit more elegance. This is a crowd pleasing winter warming shiraz going full throttle. Needs some grilled meat with it, or another decade in the bottle. Surprising, since the wine is already 7 years old.

Tasted on Fri, Mar 1, 2024.

91 points - Deep inky purple red. Densely packed nose, spicy and nutmeggy. Depth and concentration and flavour on the palate, peppery oak, slightly syrupy texture. Numbing sensation in the finish. A massive wine. This needs a crusty steak.

Tasted on Fri, Mar 1, 2024.

91 points - Dark purple. Plum and tar on the nose, with the fruit doing most of the talking. On the palate there is a sensation of salty plums, with savoury spice enveloping a plummy dark cherry core. Drinking nicely now.

Tasted on Wed, Feb 7, 2024.

90 points - Medium dark purple red. Touches of vanilla and plum on the nose, spicy. Fruit sweet, bold, plush style, tannins rounded, fleshy. Ultimately somewhat simplistic with a simple, moderate to short finish.

Tasted on Wed, Feb 7, 2024.
